    Eaon ... I love "permission to play". Do you think it works two ways? Brands need to know where to play and they also need to actively invite their communities to participate.

    I'd add that in order to thrive a marketer ought to become an ally within any social capital channel. The general motivation within social capital is a desire to express and share, thus accumulating reputation or ranking. The smart marketer becomes part of that social fabric and facilitates the exchange.
