never get out of the boat: working 9 to 5

    seems we are more and more entering the era of "get it done by so and such deadline and I don't care when you work on it". though it requires maturity on part of employees to control this freedom, it also requires owners/managers to stop ego (micro) managing the crap out of people.

    Been thinking bout this for some time now, but HR should be the central part of business strat for 21st century company. not out of love or some hippie thinking (to chnnel inner cartman) but because in the ever increasing chaotic consumer process, HR is the one thing a company can control and use to stand out thus creating business advantage.

    culture sells, just ask zappo's.

    good thinking. I love this story about Zappos (dunno if it's true) that they apparently have a fully decked Christmas Tree in their reception all year round.
